On Monday, June 21, 2022, God called our husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle to eternal rest from University of Virginia Medical Center, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Alfred Junior Scott was born April 21, 1950 in Prospect, VA to Sam and Maggie Lee Ford Scott. Alfred accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Sulphur Spring Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education through Prince Edward County Public Schools. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to do things with his hands, especially carpentry work. He and his oldest grandson, Justin Hughes spent time doing carpentry together. Alfred was preceded in death by: his parents, Sam and Maggie Scott; and two daughters, Michelle Watkins-Atkins and Dion Watkins Hughes. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 43 years, Grace Scott; one daughter, Trina Moses (Billy); four grandsons, Justin Hughes, Daquan Moses, Mycheal Moses, and Bryan Moses; one brother, Royal Scott; two sisters, Lillian Wiley and Mary Jennings; sister-in-law, Frances Johnson ( Jessie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
