Alphonza Gregory departed this life on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Dillwyn, Virginia. He was born on March 24, 1940, in Dillwyn to Earl and Salone Gregory. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Baptist Union Baptist Church. He was a loving and caring brother, uncle, great and great-great uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory: four siblings, Hampton Gregory of New Canton, VA, Beverly Gregory (Doris) of Richmond, VA, Joyce Anderson and Adelle Johnson of Dillwyn, VA; seven nieces and nephews; fourteen great nieces and nephews; nine great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
