Alvin Jerome Johnson was born December 2, 1961 to Elsie M. Johnson and the late James Evans. Alvin Jerome Johnson departed this life on November 2, 2024 at his home in Pamplin, Virginia.

Alvin Johnson received his education from Prince Edward County Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1980.

Alvin was preceded in death by: his father and one sister, Yolanda Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Tyrese Johnson; two granddaughters, TaKari Jorice Johnson and Tajiri Nevaeh Johnson of Richmond, Virginia; his loving and devoted mother, Elsie Johnson of Pamplin, Virginia; three sisters, Elsie L. Johnson and Cynthia Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland, and Darlene Walker of Farmville, Virginia; one brother, Lonnie Johnson of Prospect, Virginia; nephews, Tyrone, Andre, DeCarlos, DaShawn, Eric, Duane and Jermaine; nieces, Quashata, Crystal, India and Kendra; five great nephews; thirteen great great nieces; five great great nephews; three uncles, Eddie Johnson, Willie Evans (Diane) and Walter Evans (Cynthia); two aunts, Beatrice Womack and Marjorie Wesley; one special friend, Pewn Hensley aka Salt; a very special cousin and riding partner, Charles Watkins; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the king of Horseshoes aka Romey Rome.
