Anthony Tyrone Chambers, affectionately known to many as “Toe,” was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his warm personality made it easy for him to connect with people wherever he went. Anthony never met a stranger, and he had a special way of making everyone feel welcome.

Anthony joined Spreading Oak Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education from Buckingham County High School and went on to build a strong work ethic throughout his life. He was a dedicated truck driver for twenty years, a career that reflected his love for the open road and his knowledge of trucks. He was also employed by Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company for many years, along with holding a host of other jobs throughout his working years.

Beyond his work, Anthony enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. His favorite color was blue, and he had a special fondness for bluebirds. He cherished spending time with his family, dancing, laughing, and sharing stories. One of his favorite pastimes was telling everyone how to drive trucks and shift gears, always ready to share his knowledge and give a little advice. Whether through his humor, his stories, or his lively spirit, Anthony knew how to have fun with those around him. His laughter, personality, and love for family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Verna V. Chambers and Clarence E. Chambers, and his two brothers, Clarence M. Chambers and Lonnie Chambers.

Although his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will continue to live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.

Those Left to Cherish His Memories

Anthony leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved children: three daughters, Bianca Chambers-Reed (Maurice Reed), Angelica Chambers, and Turkeshia Gillespie-Ayres; and one son, Andre Chambers (Angie) who will forever hold a special place in their hearts for their beloved father.

He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by three brothers:

Ronald Chambers of Nelson County, Virginia; Arnold Chambers of Richmond, Virginia; and Randy Chambers (Cora) of Dillwyn, Virginia.

His three sisters include his twin sister, Suzette Nocks (Carlos) of Dillwyn, Virginia; Rosezeata Wesley (Eric) of Concord, Virginia; and Colette Jones (Gordon) of Atlanta, Georgia.

Anthony also leaves to cherish his memory his devoted son-in-law, Maurice Reed, and his devoted niece, Latoya Word, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
