Obituary For Beatrice Gregory Banks

Beatrice Gregory Banks went home to meet the Lord on Monday,
February 3, 2025. She was born in Buckingham County, Virginia on
May 15, 1939 to Hilton and Irene Ford Gregory.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Baptist Union Baptist
Church (BUBC), where she remained an active member until her health
declined. She served as an Usher (President at one time), member of the
Pastor’s Aide ministry, member of the Women’s Missionary, Grandma
of BUBC.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton and Irene
Gregory; her husband, James E. Banks; two brothers, Percy Gregory and
Clifford Gregory; three sisters, Essie Jackson, Mary Jackson and Lucy
Banks; and one son-in-law, Roderick Blue.
She is survived by: three sons, Richard Gregory of Richmond, VA, Levi
Banks of Arvonia, VA, and Curtis Banks (Stephanie) of Dillwyn, VA;
three daughters, Dinah Banks of North Chesterfield, VA, Loretta Banks-
Blue, and Connie Johnson (Byron) both of Richmond, VA; five
granddaughters, Trina Davis (Shannon), Kerschier Brittingham, Richelle
Gregory, Catrice Smith and Shauntrice Banks; six grandsons, Roderick
Banks, Antoine Johnson, Terrell Banks, Stephan Banks (Marissa),
Denzel Wade (Tiffany) and Taven Harris; eleven great grandchildren;
four great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Leona Scott of Dillwyn, VA,
Lovella Maxey of Arvonia , VA, Nora Glover and Shirley Ferrell both
of Richmond, VA; three sisters-in-law, Ernestte Smith, Peggy Lee, and
Irene Rollins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
