Betty Jean Scott Lee entered into eternal rest on December 7, 2023
at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville,
Virginia. Betty, the daughter of William Edward Scott and Hattie Redd
Scott, was born August 21, 1958 and was raised in Rice, VA. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age, was baptized and joined
High Rock Baptist Church. She attended Prince Edward County Public
Schools and was later employed at Carbone of America, Virginia Shoe

Factory, and Craddock Terry Shoe Factory. She was a dedicated and hard-
working employee. Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister, Judy Ann

Scott; and two brothers, Paul and Larnell Scott. She leaves to cherish
many loving memories: her loving and devoted children, Phillip Lee
of Richmond, VA and Andrea Lee of Rice, VA; two granddaughters;
three sisters and seven brothers, Mary Boyd of Richmond, VA, Edward
Scott of Richmond, VA, Faye Scott of Atlanta, Georgia, Annette Scott
of Richmond, VA, James Jr. Scott of Petersburg, VA, Nathan Scott of
Richmond, VA, Joseph Scott of Richmond, VA, David Scott of Atlanta,
GA, John Otis Scott of Danville, VA and Tyrone Scott of Richmond, VA;
and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
