The Lord has called home one of his angels. Carolyn Anderson Davis was born on July 26, 1946, in Farmville, Virginia to Joseph Benjamin Anderson and Gertrude Anderson. She entered eternity on March 22, 2023 at her home. She was a 1964 graduated of Carter G. Woodson High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University along with numerous certifications and lifelong accomplishments from University of Virginia, Piedmont Virginia Community College and Randolph Macon College just to name a few. She was always learning new things. Later in life, she married John MC Davis of Buckingham, VA. Carolyn had a very strong presence in the Buckingham County Public School System and her community, in which she loved to serve to the best of her abilities. She was the Virginia State grant sponsor for 12 years, which allowed for students in K-12 to attend educational field trips around the state. She was a former member of the Dillwyn Town Council, Charlottesville Police Advisory Board, and tutor for the Interfaith Alliance for Youth. She believed strongly in business skills and literacy. She was an active member of the First Liberty Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and Church Secretary. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, students and associates.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Paul Davis and daughter-in- law Denise Davis; granddaughter, Cecilia Christian Davis; grandson, Paul Joseph

Davis; great-granddaughter, AraBella Davis; sister, Louise Anderson Eldridge and brother in-law Milton Eldridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was truly a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will continue to love and miss her dearly.
