The Lord has called home one of His angels. Catherine Toulson Anderson was born on August 29, 1942 in Reedville, VA to Mary Sue Toulson and Eunicke H. Toulson. She entered eternal life on March 27, 2023 at her home. Cathy as she was affectionately called by her family and friends and nicknamed “Cat” and “Phine”, was baptized at a very early age and joined the Shiloh Baptist Church, Reedville, VA. There she served as a Missionary, Pastor’s Aid and a member of the choir. She was educated in the Northumberland County Public Schools. She was employed with the Fish Factory and later became a CNA working for the Department of Corrections and the Rappahannock Community Hospital for over twenty years. Upon moving to Dillwyn, Va. She was also employed with Heritage Hall Nursing Home until she retired. Cathy was married to the late John Taylor in 1959. From this union, two children were born, John “Marty” Taylor and Sharon Taylor. On July 1, 2000, Cathy remarried and was joined in holy matrimony to Otis P. Anderson. From this union she gained another daughter, Beverly Anderson. Cathy moved to Dillwyn, VA with her husband and joined the First Liberty Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Deacon, Missionary, Choir member and Hospitality Committee until her health began to fail. She loved to sing and was a member of the Buckingham Community choir. In addition to her parents, Cathy was proceeded in death by her siblings Melvin, Willie, Robert and Denita Toulson and stepdaughter, Beverly Anderson. Cathy leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Otis Anderson, her son, John “Marty” Taylor and his wife Brenda; her daughter, Sharon Taylor; grandchildren, Tameka Robinson and Antoine Taylor; great granddaughter, Blair Robinson; brothers Sherman Toulson (Bertina) and John Toulson (Annie Mae); Sister-in-laws, Geraldine Toulson and Lillian Smith; Special friends Pearl Taylor and Diane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
