Celestine Naomi Anderson Turner was born May 2, 1932 in Buckingham County, Virginia, to William and Edna Booker Anderson. Sister Turner grew up in Buckingham County receiving her early education in the Buckingham School System, graduating from Buckingham Training School. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age, was baptized, and became a member of Baptist Union Baptist Church.
