Charles Arthur Anderson, fondly known as “Duck ,” departed this life on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. Charles was born on January 12, 1951 to Moses and Lucille Booker Anderson in Dillwyn, VA.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dillwyn. He attended S. J. Ellis School and was employed by the Llewellyn Wood Yard for many years. He enjoyed fishing, raising chickens, music and gardening. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, George, Earl, Larry, Robert and Maggie Anderson. He leaves to cherish fond memories: the mother of his children, Nancy Booker; two daughters, Yolanda Banks and Monik Ross Harris (Cedric) of Dillwyn, VA; two sons, Charles Anderson (Linda) and Curtis Anderson of Dillwyn, VA;

eleven grandchildren, Tiffany, Dashawn, TyQwan, Taveon, Mar ’ Tavyon, Jalayshia, Kerodi, Rymel, Ma’Kyra, Messiah, and Ra’Miaya; three sisters, Nannie Anderson, Mary Anderson and Barbara Ann

Wade and two brothers, Jack Anderson and Samuel Anderson (Darlene), all of Dillwyn, VA; three aunts, Betty Scruggs and Julia Anderson, both of Baltimore, Maryland and Catherine Booker of Dillwyn,

VA; special friends, Mildred
