Charles Wilson Brooks passed away on May 21, 2024.

Friends and family accepted that he was a non-conformist who marched to the beat of his own drum.

Some might remember him singing throughout the years with various bands, including The Improvised Sound.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Watkins Brooks; father, George Wilson Brooks and grandson, Jahleel Cassett.

He leaves a son, Charnell Cassette, a daughter, Charilda Thompson Harper (Norman); grandchildren: Byron Thompson, Sugar Cassett, Judah Harper, and Brooklyn Harper; and devoted neighbors and friends.
