Christine Smith-Travis affectionately known as “Teen and Chris” by loved ones was born on July 6, 1929 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. She was the second child born to parents Irvin and Irene Coleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers, Irvin Coleman, Jr. and Ernest Coleman and sister, Pauline Coleman.
