Cortez Te’quan Taylor, known to many as “Fuke” and to some as “Poo” was born on March 12, 1990 to Jacqueline Taylor-Stokes and Joe Louis Taylor. Cortez gained his wings on February 24, 2022. Cortez was preceded in death by his father, Joe Lewis Taylor. Cortez received his education at Prince Edward County High School. He played football, but his main love was basketball. Cortez also loved to go fishing. Cortez was employed with Holman Masonry. He enjoyed being around friends and family, especially his girls. He had the most unforgettable laugh. Cortez was a Lakers fan and his favorite player was Kobe Bryant. Cortez was also a Los Angeles Rams fan. You could always catch him saying “how bout’ them RAMS! He was overjoyed when they won the Super Bowl this year. Cortez leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Jacqueline Stokes and step-father, Eddie Stokes, Sr.; his girls that he had a deep and special love for, Shaniya, JaLeah, Kennadi and Arielle, they were his heart; his siblings, Joe Louis Brown “Mickey” and D’onte Taylor “D.J.”; two step- brothers, Eddie Stokes, Jr. and Stephen Stokes; a special and devoted friend, Christy; a special cousin, Wayne Taylor, and a host of uncles, aunts, relatives and friends.
