Obituary For Cynthia Ann Spencer

Cynthia Ann Spencer, affectionately known as "Big Lou," daughter of the late Charles and Sophie Spraggs, was born on May 22, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York. She departed this life on August 31, 2026, and gained her
heavenly wings. Cindy was educated in the Prince Edward County Public School System. She attended Mercy Seat Baptist Church, where she confessed her love for the Lord and accepted
Him as her personal Savior at an early age. Cindy worked as a private housekeeper and in the cafeteria at Central Middle School in Charlotte County, VA where she truly was in her element. She loved to cook, and her fried chicken, potato salad, and pasta salad were
second to none. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Carl E. Spencer; son- in-law, Simon Bryant; brothers, Charles, Curt, Curtis, and David Spraggs; and sisters, Jacqueline Williams and Gwendolyn Spraggs-
Price. Big Lou leaves to cherish her memories: her
children, Michael Spraggs of Hampton, VA; Kimberly Bryant, Corinthia Baker (Mark Ingram), and Cordero Baker (Nicole Walker),
all of Farmville, VA; her grandchildren:Antonio Baker, Ahniaelyah Spraggs, Jada Spraggs, Antario Brooks, Attoria Brooks, Destiny Morton, Madison Bryant, Tyrone Morton, Jr., Courtney Baker, Chynna Baker, Malachi Jiggetts, and A'dymond Baker, of Farmville, VA; her great-grandchildren Josiah Brooks, Fenix Lambert, Aaliyah Brooks, and Jymeir Brooks, of Farmville, VA; and her godchildren, Carlos (Micah) Young, of Fort Wayne, IN; Ikeirra Scott, of Farmville, VA; Shakela Morton, of Farmville, VA; and
Irma Wiggins, of Norfolk, VA. She also leaves to cherish her memories three sisters: Debra Edney (Paul Anderson),
of Richmond, VA; Deloris (Michael) Watkins, of Crewe, VA; and Patricia (James)
Baker, of Farmville, VA; three brothers: Hubert Cokeley, of Richmond, VA; Michael Cokeley, of Farmville, VA; and Anthony Cokeley, of Madison Heights, VA; two brothers-in-law: Charles Spencer, of Charlotte Court House, VA, and Robert (Dell) Spencer, of Baltimore, MD; and her
mother-in-law, Chestina Hodge, of Charlotte
Court House, VA. She also leaves to cherish her memory a very special nephew, Abdur R. Aziz, of Lynchburg, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; and special friends Mary Scott, Celeste Brooks, and
several social club friends.
