Obituary For Darlene Beasley Lee

Darlene Beasley Lee was born on May 25, 1964, at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia to the late Joseph and Mattie Beasley. She peacefully entered eternal life on September 6, 2025, at her residence in Meherrin, Virginia.

Darlene was the youngest of seven children. She was raised in Prospect, Virginia where she joined the Peaks Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her passing. Darlene received her education in the Prince Edward County School System. After school, Darlene entered into the work force. She worked for multiple companies including VDOT, Carbone America and Holly Manor in Farmville, Virginia. She moved to Connecticut briefly where she worked for Firestone, Shoprite and Pizza Hut before returning home.

Darlene married her husband Elvis Lee on May 4, 2004. She continued her career with Pizza Hut in Farmville, Virginia until her health began to decline.

Darlene loved her family and made sure to express it whenever she could. She would often do kind gestures without being asked, because that is the heart that she had. And if she ever knew your birthday, you could bet that you would get that call every year.

Darlene was preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph and Mattie; her brother, Daniel; four sisters, Martha, Etta, Mattie, and Joyce; and nephews, Marlon, Loydeeka, and Quincy.

She leaves to cherish in her memory: her loving and devoted husband, Elvis; her children, Lamar (Ninah), TaQuita, and Katashee (Chris); her bonus children, Antonio and Dechantal; grandchildren, Da’Quan, La’Nayzha, Ja’Marion, Kaelyn “Poodie”, Tra’Niyah, Za’Niyah, Coby, Nikeyra, Ariyanna, Nathaniel, Tyliqa, Tylira, Cedric Jr, Tyquan, Marques Jr, and Sabrina; one godson, Cleon “Buck”; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.

Although she loved her entire family, she shared a special bond with: her nieces, Lakeisha and Nancy; nephew, Ta’Shawn; and cousin, Glenda.
