David Louis Jones, Sr. was born on July 10, 1936 in Prince Edward County, Virginia to the late Joel Lee Jones and Amanda Daniels Jones. David gave his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Peaks Baptist Church in Prospect, VA where he served as a Trustee and a member of the Peaks Baptist Male Chorus. David received his education from Prince Edward County Public Schools. He was employed by Prince Edward County Sheriff Dept. for over 15 years. He was also employed by Prince Edward County School Bus Transportation and retired after 43 years of service
