Obituary For David Lorenzo Adams

David Lorenzo Adams was born on September 10, 1955 to the late Callie Loris Gray Adams and the late James Eldridge Adams. He grew up in our town of Pamplin, Virginia. He departed this life to rest in paradise on April 28, 2024 from Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, VA.

David received his education in Farmville, VA graduating from Prince Edward County High School. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age, was baptized and joined Zion Baptist Church in Pamplin where he remained a faithful member through out his life. He faithfully served on the usher board until his passing.

Upon graduation David enlisted in the Army Reserves to serve his country. Due to medical reasons he received a medical discharge. He then began a long term career of a saw operator at Ontario Hardwood in Keysville, VA.

He was married to the late Angela Loreatha Wesley Adams. Three children were born to this union. Three daughters, Latoya Sherell Adams, Erica Loreatha Adams, and Nicole Mae Adams.

David’s all time passion was baseball. He loved the game and every aspect of it. He played with many of his friends for years.

He also leaves to cherish his memories eight siblings: James E Adams (Patricia), proceeded in death by Thomas W Adams (Deanne), Catherine D Adams, Patricia D Adams Randolph (Louis), Richard Flowers,

Joyce E Adams, Naomi L Adams Brogden (Randy), and Warren A Gray.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a host of his wonderful in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

God looked around His garden and He saw an empty space

He looked down the earth and saw David’s tired face.

He put his arms around him and lifted him to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful for He always takes the best.

He saw that the road was getting rough and hills were hard to climb.

He closed his weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine.”

It breaks our hearts to lose him, but she didn’t go alone.

For part of us went with her, the day called her home.
