Today was a sad day. As her former supervisor at Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Deloris always sent a birthday card and called me on my birthday. Not only that, but she did the same for my wife Anita. I'm sure there were many others on her list. Without a card or phone call today, I sensed that something was amiss. Using Google, I was saddened to learn of her demise. What more can I say than that Deloris was a great worker, a great friend, and a wonderful Christian witness. I value my friendship with her, and will miss her greatly.

I am so very sorry we did not know of her death. She was a special friend to our family...never missing a birthday or other special occasion. I had spoken to her last on June 2 or 3 and knew she was very ill. I tried to reach her a number of times since then. She can now soar. Rest in Peace you beautiful soul.

I am so sorry to hear of Dee's passing. She was a sweet and beautiful woman. We always exchanged birthday and holiday cards. I enjoyed our conversations and working with her at the Virginia Legal aid Society in Farmville. She will be sorely missed. Gail Braxton

I Never Saw Your Wings Author Unknown How is it that I never saw your wings when you were here with me? When you closed your eyes and soared to the Heavens I could hear the faint flutter of you wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side Your spirit here eternally I see your halo shine. I close my eyes and see the multi-coloured wings surround me in my saddest moments and my happiest times. Sister my angel God has given you your assignment always my sister forever my angel. You fly into my dreams and when I am asleep I feel your wings brush against my face wiping away the tears I shed since I can no longer hold you in my arms but in my heart. You earned those wings dear sister and you will always be my angel eternal. Until we meet again, Debby -aka- Baby Sissy Poo
