Obituary For Dianna Rose Eanes

Dianna Rose Eanes, daughter of the late Charlie Floyd and Emma Jane Francis Carey, was born on March
9, 1945.
She confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, at an early age, and became a member of New Hope
Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant of New Hope until she transitioned. She loved her church
family and would be seen sitting in the church pews on many Sundays or singing in the church choir.
Dianna, who was lovingly known as Diane, peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at
VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA., with her daughter, Lisa, by her side.
Diane was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an amazing, sweet
and caring mother. She loved being surrounded by family and relished in the laughter that was often
followed with each gathering. She often commented on the laughter, probably because we were so
loud. She loved hosting and going to yard sales with family and friends. She was often “dragged” on
vacation with her daughter, Lisa, weather she wanted to go or not. (She always wanted to low-key go),
and enjoyed every moment.
Diane attended Prince Edward County Public School and later in life she was employed by that same
school system as a Baker in the food service department, where she later retired.
She was married to Wilbert Eanes, who proceeded her in death. She also had a son-in-law, Jeffrey Lee
Sr., who proceeded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her children; Thomas Eanes of Hyattsville, MD; Lisa Lee of
Springfield, VA; Kevin Eanes of Annandale, VA and Manonia Land of Chesterfield, VA.
4 grandchildren: Jeffrey Lee of Baltimore, MD; LeRon Lee of Fredericksburg, VA; Cameron Eanes of
Manassas, VA, and Azjah Land of Chesterfield, VA.
4 great grandchildren: Elijah Lee, Jeremiah Rankins, Bella Lee and Cara Lee.
A daughter in love, Audrey Eanes and a son in love, Robert Land.
2 sisters: Mattie (Charlie) Barksdale, of Farmville, VA and Emma Sheridan of Pleasantville, NJ.
Aunts: Mary Brown of New York, Bessie (James) Bradford of Ft. Washington, MD, Lucy Foster of
Washington, DC and Alma (Moses) Foster of Farmville, VA, Phyllis Reed of Washington, DC, and 1 uncle:
Thomas Reed of Camp Springs, MD.

Royal Eanes; Sister-in-laws, Mary Eanes, Emma Eanes, Phyllicia Eanes, Carrie Walker, Gwendolyn (Amos)
