Mother Doris Higgins born on July 30, 1944 in North
PROCESSIONAL
Philadelphia, PA to Rosa Lee Flowers and William Flowers.
Doris lost her mother at the age of fifteen. She had to raise
her siblings with the help of her grandmother Bessie Harris.
Doris was a determined woman and always pushed herself
to become better with the help of Almond Williams, Doris
learned more about life and God. Almond Williams loved
Doris like her own child and embraced Doris' family. Doris
was firm on the word of God and how she raised her children.
Doris' love and compassion for God and the church was
displayed every time you engaged with her. When you came
to her home you always smelled something good, as she
would cook these huge meals. Doris loved to cook and she
contributed her good cooking to her mother. Doris took
assignments and tasks very seriously working in the Crystal
Cathedral Ministry doing whatever was asked of her, until her
health started to decline. Mother Higgins is what they call
her, a mother to all, but she is MAMA to her adoring children.
Doris was one of her nine siblings, Alberta Presley,
Bernadette Stewart, Diane Nobles, Mary Straughter, Sherray
Williams, Anthony Nobles, Douglas Nobles, Earl Nobles,
Thomas Nobles, John Nobles, Anthony Williams, Rodney
Straughter, George Stewart. Doris was married in April of
1974 to Theodore David Higgins. Doris has three children
Rosetta Flowers, Daniel Flowers, Aaron Flowers. Doris leaves
to cherish nine grandchildren :Shoshana Solomon, Jerome
Martin, Gerald Martin, Joseph Solomon, Harry Flowers, Daniel
Flowers Jr. Niles Flowers, Nigel Flowers. Grandchildren:
Matthias Solomon, Jo’Siya Solomon, Ja'Dore Martin, Tionne
Martin, Gionne Martin. Christopher Flowers NS. host of other
grandchildren. Nieces and Nephew's
Neffertari Jordan, Bakari Nobles, Heshimu Nobles, Shawn
Mitshum, Tyrone Lee, John Tabourn, Latoya Straughter,
Lakisha Straughter, Lovell Straughter, Timothy Straughter,
Anthony Williams Jr.,Andrew Williams Adrian Williams, and a
large host of others.
