On one of God’s beautiful summer mornings, July 29, 2022, at 3:10am, Deaconess. Dorothy Lee heard God’s call. She answered from home in Dillwyn, Virginia to seek a place in his kingdom. Deaconess Dorothy Virginia Mitchell Lee was born on December 3, 1928 to George and Agatha Martha Mitchell of Buckingham County, Virginia. At an early age, she attended Buckingham County Schools. She married the love of her life, the late Chris Alexander Lee Sr. To this union, nine children were born. She was employed as housekeeper and worked at Craddock Terry Shoe Factory. She served faithfully and diligently, while being a loving wife and mother to her family.
