Elizabeth Christine Tyree Harris known as “Mother Harris” was born March 12, 1919 to the late Alexander and Vera Anne Wade Tyree. She quietly transitioned into eternity on March 1, 2021 at Heritage Hall in Dillwyn, Virginia. She attended Jones’ & Cornerstone School in Buckingham County, VA. Mother Harris grew up as a member of The Bright & Morning Star Holy Church, where she was later saved by the word of God at twelve years old. She held many positions in the church: Praise and Worship Leader, Treasurer, Secretary and Superintendent of Sunday School. She was always a dedicated and faithful member, always praying, maintaining her loving calm spirit and willing to do whatever she could to help someone else, until her health failed.
