Ervin Blair Walker, “E.B.”, entered into eternal rest at his residence in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia following a brief illness. He was born in Prince Edward County, VA to the late Thomas M. and Violet L. Walker on January 22, 1936, the oldest of five children. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John B. Walker, Sr. Ervin left school in eighth grade to help financially support his siblings. While married to Naomi Fowlkes, he went to night school and received his high school diploma. During his second marriage to Elviolla B. Thornton, he received his Associate’s Degree from Southside Community College.
