Obituary For Eula Mae Baker

On January 8, 2023 our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother was called home to be with the Lord. She departed this life at her home in Dillwyn, Virginia. Eula Mae Baker was born on November 15, 1933 to the late Mamie Brown and Everette White. She received her education in the Buckingham School System. Eula Mae joined Zion Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her health began to decline. She was employed for many years at Craddock Terry Shoe Factory in Dillwyn, Virginia. After employment, she made the decision to be a homemaker and care for close family. She was a people person, she loved talking, family gatherings, going shopping, cooking and watching her soap operas. She was preceded in death by her late husband Leonard Baker. She leaves to cherish her memories four children: Shirley Gregory of Dillwyn, VA, George Baker (Cassandra) of Henrico, VA, Gloria Baker (Martin) of N. Chesterfield, VA and Ronald Baker (Monica) of Folsom, LA; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one that she had a special relationship with Jacari “Jake” Gregory and one great - great grandchild. A host of nieces and nephews, one special Joe Baker. A granddaughter, Calonda “Ce Ce” Gregory that she had a special bond with that could not be broken. An adopted son, Moses (Ester) Gibson, and an adopted daughter, Hazel Brown who both always looked out for her. Eula Mae will be missed dearly by her family, friends and loved ones.

    Ms. Eula Mae will be greatly missed. I have so many memories of her and my aunt Shirley at Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church. Me and her was always laughing about something. She was such a beautiful lady and she will be missed. Please know family we are lifting you up in prayer.
