Monday, September 12, 2022. Helen was born on January 21, 1933 to Courtney and Juanita Jennings Franklin in Pamplin, Virginia. She was educated in Appomattox County Public Schools. At an early age, she was baptized into the Zion Baptist Church family, where she served faithfully until the Lord called her home. Helen was married to Emanuel Walker and they were blessed with five children. She was a kind, loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with family and cherished her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Her legacy is everlasting because she instilled her virtues in everyone that she met. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by: her husband, Emanuel Walker and daughters, Brenda Walker and Gladys Barnes. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Juanita Walker of Appomattox, VA and Debbie Marks of Marshall, Texas; one son, James Walker (Aurea) of High Point, North Carolina; one brother, Ronald Franklin (Joan) of Pamplin,

VA; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and

nephews, cousins and friends.
