Obituary For Inease Elizabeth Forrest-Booth

Very quietly and peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023, Inease closed her eyes and entered into her eternal resting place at CJW - Johnston Willis Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Inease was born on October 17, 1947 to the late Sylvester Smith and Florence Forrest in Prince Edward County, Virginia.

At an early age, she was baptized and joined the High Rock Baptist Church where she attended until her health declined. A home-maker and caregiver to many, Inease received her education in the Prince Edward County Schools.

Inease was married to the late James W. Booth, Sr. and to this union 3 children were born. She was also preceded in death by one son, James W. Booth, Jr., ” Junnie”.

Inease was a fantastic cook! Her specialties were homemade potato salad and cakes. When she prepared a meal, Inease insisted that you sit down and enjoy “her meal”. Her love for her family and friends was shown through many good deeds. She will forever be in our hearts. Even though Inease was very outspoken and a strict disciplinarian, it was always done out of love.

When her health began to fail, she expressed to her family that she was ready “To Go Home” meaning her Heavenly Home. Her wish was, “Don’t Cry for Me”, yet “Rejoice and Celebrate”.

Inease leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Donna (Michael) Haskins of Burkeville, Virginia, Nicole Booth (Larry) of Chesterfield, Virginia; one son Donny Booth of Burkeville, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; siblings, Rev. Stella Tucker of Chesterfield, Virginia, Sarah Randolph of Richmond, Virginia, Leon Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sylvester Smith of Farmville, Virginia, Evangelist Mabel (Steve) Turner of Norfolk, Virginia, Leon (Teresa) Hamlin of Fairfax, Virginia, Florence (James) Hawkins of Richmond, Virginia and James (Glenda) Hamlin of Lynchburg, Virginia; a devoted cousin who was like a brother, James “Cliff” Forrest of Burkeville, Virginia; one brother-in-law, Percy Booth of Burkeville, Virginia; several devoted cousins, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
