On Thursday morning, March 23, 2022, our dear Jack Jones transitioned from this life and entered into eternal rest. Jack Jones was born on May 27, 1930 in Appomattox, Virginia to the late Joel Lee and Amanda Jones. Jack Lee served over 50 years as a machinist for Norfolk and Southern Railways and acquired many friends during his tenure there prior to retiring in 1990, to spend time with his family and enjoy the fruits of his labor. Jack Lee married the most gracious and magnificent Betty R. Jones; a blended family of 11 children were entrusted to this union. Jack was a devoted Christian and served as a member of Apostolic Faith Church of All Nations in Farmville, Virginia. He accepted the Lord and was saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, “the Apostolic way”. Jack Lee’s favorite songs were, “Amazing Grace”, “A Storm on the Ocean”, “Thunder”, and “Ups and Downs”, and he didn’t mind singing them with his smooth, silky voice after his testimony.
