Obituary For James Tony Braxton
James Tony Braxton was born March 19, 1978 to the Mildred Joanne
Braxton and James Richard Morgan, both of Buckingham County, Virginia. On
Feb, 13 2024, he departed this life at his Prospect, VA residence.
James, affectionately called “Boo”, accepted Christ at an early age and
joined Ridgeway Baptist Church, in Dillwyn VA, where he attended until he
started getting too sick to go. Even then, Boo would continue to read his Bible
daily and was never seen without his cross necklace.
Boo attended High School in Buckingham County. Although he did not
graduate, he spent a lot of time self-educating.
Boo enjoyed seeing how things work. So, he would often take things apart
but would rarely put them back together. He loved Martial arts and Drawing.
His love for art eventually lead him to doing tattoos.
Boo suffered with Sickle Cell Anemia all his life; leaving the hospitals to
be his second home. Through the pain, he might have had tears in his eyes but
he always kept a smile on his face. He left an impact on everyone he came in
contact with.
Boo was preceded in death by: both of his parents and grandparents, Mary
and Joseph Braxton, Mary and Henry Morgan; two uncles, Bobby Braxton
and John Morgan; five aunts, Gayle Winfree, Sandra Braxton, Diane Braxton,
Audrey Morgan, and Maryanne Brown; one nephew, Rah’Taz Williams; and
one cousin that was raised with him as a brother, Kevin A Banks.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Jaylen Alexander Braxton; four
biological sisters, Tyrensia Braxton, Lashaunda Braxton, Tawanda Braxton and
Monique Bennette; two extended sisters, Yolanda and Lakeisha Banks; two
uncles, Michael and Tony Braxton; four aunts, Rebecca Morgan, Ella Perkins,
Jennette Perkins and Lois Wright; four nieces; six nephews; a favorite cousin,
Jeremiah Winfree; special lady friend, Amy Andrew; and a host of other relatives
and friends.
