Obituary For John Henry Wiley

John Henry Wiley, 70, went to be with the Lord, on November 29, 2025. He was surrounded by his wife and children in their Farmville, Virginia residence. He was a devoted husband to his wife Shelby, a loving father, and grandfather to many grandchildren who loved him dearly.

He was born in Darlington Heights, VA, to Virginia Wiley Wade and Elmo Dews. He received his education through Prince Edward County Public Schools. He was a hard working, fun loving, caringman with a big heart. John worked for Buffalo Shook Company for ten years, and then moved to KyniteMining Co., where he worked for 34 years, before retiring in 2022. He was known for his great work ethic, which he passed down to his children.

John loved to dance, joke, listen to music, and spend time with his family. Everyone who knew John, knewthat he could surely crack a joke and make you laugh. He was loved by everyone and was fun to be around.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Virginia Wiley Wade and Elmo Dews; stepfather, Roosevelt Wade; and his brother, Melvin Wade. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 46 years, Shelby Wiley; two sons, Juan Wiley and QuinzeeWiley; two daughters, Chatae Wiley and SantitaWiley; stepson, Conelius Robinson; two brothers, Larry Wade and Steve Wade (Tracey); three sisters, Joyce Hancock (John), Martha Campbell, Sheila Green (Chris); grandchildren, Dashara Kimbrough, Damarion Perkins, Damani Perkins, Brayden Wiley, Camden Wulff, Jacahri Wiley, Kaiden Wiley, TaevianWiley, Kymira Robinson, and Akira Robinson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
