Obituary For Kent Derwood Lee
THE JOURNEY OF A DEDICATED MAN
Kent D. Lee was born on November 27, 1961, to the late James R. Lee and Ethel
W. Jennings. He peacefully entered eternal rest on July 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, discipline, and unforgettable memories.
Kent was educated in the Prince Edward County Public Schools system, where his passion and rhythm shined brightly as an avid bass drummer for the Marching Eagles. He held a deep affection for the Class of 1980. Anyone who knew Kent knew that he always felt like he was the one in charge-well, we all know how KENT D. LEE was! He carried himself with a distinct presence that won't soon be forgotten.
A LEGACY OF HARD WORK

To my family, my heart was heavy to hear of the passing of my cousin. I often think back when we all went the school together, Keith and rest of the family. It was so much love between us. Keith and I was in the band together. Even though we haven't seen each and so long. Our love for each still whole strong. Even though our hearts are sadden and we my hurt for a while. But we know he is not in pain and that he is resting in his earthly home until our heavenly Father say it time to come up out of our earthly bed. The dead in Christ will be the first to rise. And we all pray that we can hear out Father say welcome 🙏 home my child. Keith, and the family I love yall. My heart will never forget each of yall and my love will still stay strong fir my family. RIP cuz even though you are gone you will live on my heart.

Lee-Lee you will be missed and I am grateful for the years of service working with you. Open the flood gates and let it rain, I will always remember you when I hear this hymn. Rest in paradise from CT 🙏💔

My fondest memory of Kent was the last cousin's reunion that he attended. I can remember him playing What's in the Box & that was hilarious! We laughed & had so much fun together. Im also grateful that I did have an opportunity to speak with him earlier this year. I truly thank God for the vine that connected us. Kent may your soul find RSIGA!

Cousin Kent, I'm going to miss your jokes and kind words. I'll always remember to not fry my good fish in Great Value oil 😂
