Obituary For Lawrence William "Doc" Chambers

Lawrence William Chambers, affectionately called “Doc, entered eternal rest on November 7, 2024, He was born February 14, 1955 in Farmville, Virginia to William and Jenny Chambers.

At an early age, Lawrence confessed Christ as his Savior, was baptized and joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Hixburg, VA. He received his education through the Appomattox County Public School System.

He was a loving, caring, strong, and hard-working man. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Papa), who worked unselfishly to provided for his family. He was employed by Archer Creek Foundry and Kyanite Mining for many years.

Lawrence was preceded in death by: his father, Wiliam McKinley Chambers and his brother, Bobby Gene Chambers.

He leaves to cherish many memories: his wife of 47 years, Doretha Chambers; his mother, Jenny Bell Chambers; three daughters, Cornita Chambers, Tiffany Jones (Anthony), and Tonya Chambers; five grandchildren, Antoine Cashwell (Tori), Mychel Pusha (MJ), Xavier Jones, Braylon Jones, and LaNyia Jones; two great grandchildren, Weston and Aurora Cashwell; two brothers, Earl Troxler and Harry Troxler; two brothers in-law, Lewis Webb, Jr. (Rachel) and Marcus Thomas (Katherine); three sisters-in-law, Rosie Troxler, Linda Troxler, and Sharon Webb Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
