Lillian Allen Mouzon was born August 21, 1923 in Prince Edward County in Farmville, Virginia to Thomas H. Allen and Daisy Allen. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church in Prospect, VA. She attended and graduated from Robert Russa Moton High School in Farmville, VA. During her childhood, she spent time working on the farm, cooking and attending church.
