Mable Beal Chambers Stanton was born October 4, 1938 in Buckingham County, Virginia to Minnie Chambers. She departed this life on October 6, 2024.

She joined Mourners Valley Baptist Church (Morning Valley Baptist Church) at an early age. She was educated in the Buckingham County Public School System.

She was a quiet and very strong woman. She loved to keep others encouraged even when she wasn’t feeling her best. She worked for Craddock and Terry Shoe Corporation in Dillwyn for many years and when that location closed she transferred to the plant in Farmville, VA until it closed. She did this without having a license to drive.

Mable married Franklin D. Stanton on December 24, 1960 and they were blessed with 3 daughters. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Franklin Stanton; grandson, Elsid Stanton; and her sister, Mary Chambers.

She leaves to mourn the loss and cherish her memories: their three daughters, Casandra Holman, Margarette Stanton, and Jacqueline Stewart (James); grandchildren, Alex, Lance, Deja, Brittany and James Cameron; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Shirley Stanton and Barbara Stanton; one brother-in-law, Elbert Stanton (Jennie); a very special friend who called to check on her three or four times a week, Brenda Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
