Obituary For Mary Elizabeth Bolden

Evangelist Mary Elizabeth Bolden left her earthly home to be with the Lord in heaven on Monday, September 9, 2024, at her home. Born in Buckingham County to the late Wiliam Word and Fannie Mae Word on September 26, 1937. She accepted Christ at an early age. She would tell all that listened to go to church.

Evangelist Bolden grew up and started her education in Buckingham County. She later moved to New York.

Where she worked as a Home Health Aide for many years. She attended and evangelized at many churchesin New York. Evangelist Bolden received her Certificate of Ministry License on December 23, 1977. She received many accolades in New York. She married William Bolden on August 31, 1978, at the Second Liberty Baptist Church in Buckingham County.

After her husband passed, she moved back to her family in Buckingham. Evangelist Bolden rejoined The Second Liberty Baptist Church to serve faithfully as a missionary, and as an Associate Pastor. She worked with the United Baptist Association, the Free Will Sunday School Union, the Buckingham County Church Wide Institute. She also preached the word for several surrounding churches whenever requested.

Evangelist Bolden further her education and received a Certificate for Christian Ministries from the Faith International Bible College on May 13, 2005. Two years later, Evangelist Bolden received her Associate Degree in Theology on May 11, 2007.

She prayed every day for her family and the church. She would cook her special dishes for her family and friends to enjoy. She would get so excited when her family came from Newport News.
