Mattie Lucille Wright was born June 19, 1966, in Farmville, Virginia to Queenie E. Wright and James Mack Scott. She departed this life on January 2, 2022 at Centra- Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, VA. Mattie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church in Pamplin, VA. She received her education through the Prince Edward County Public School System. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Stephanie Annette Wright and Joyce Ann Pollard; two brothers, James and Melvin Wright; three brothers-in-law, Richard Pollard, Napoleon Jones, and Alfonzo Davis; two nieces, Stephanie Wright and Robin Polland. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: two children, Lucas Wright of Farmville, VA and Sumoan Wright of Williamsburg, VA; two children she raised as her own, Whitney and Johnathan Pollard, both of Red House, VA; two grandchildren, De’Marcus and De’Asia Wright; four sisters, Ola Davis and Mable Jones of Pamplin, VA, Mary L. Stinson of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Elsie Dillard Moorman (Willie) of Lynchburg, VA; three brothers, Cal Wright and Arthur Wright (Sharon) of Pamplin, VA and Wayne Wright of Hampden-Sydney, VA; brother-in-law, Johnathan Brooks; sister-inlaw, Terri Jordan; three very special friends who stuck with her to the end, Edworth Brooks, Susan Pryor, and Anita Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
