Mildred Lee Jones was born on August 19, 1968 in Prince Edward County to the late David L. Jones Sr. and Sarah Jones.

Mildred gave her life to Christ at a very early age and became a dedicated member of Peaks Baptist Church in Prospect, Va. She was a dedicated member of the Food Committee and Pastor’s Aide. She also assisted with the Peaks Baptist Youth Choir along with her sister Margaret Jones.

Mildred Received her education from Prince Edward County Public Schools. She was employed at the Shoe Factory for 5 or more years. She later was employed by Prince Edward County Public Schools for 15+ years.

Mildred was always a joy to be around and would help anyone in need until her health began to decline. She was a great family member, friend and everyone knew she loved her Diet Mountain Dew.

On September 30, 2024 Mildred Jones was called to be with God, from home in Prospect, Va at age 56.

She leaves to cherish her memory: One son, Jayden Jones; two sisters, Linda Carter (Michael) and Margaret Jones (Jeffery). One Brother, David L. Jones Jr. (Andrea). Four nieces, Keondra (Trey), Arianna, Angeleena, Avanjelen. Five nephews, Markeem(Cadajah), Adonis, DJ(Angel), TJ, Ashton. Two Great nieces, Trinite’ and Taya. Three Great nephews, Cai’Meir, Latrell, Lil DJ. Seven godchildren, Antwon, Tiffany, Sharna, Takayla, MJ, Yai’Meir, and Trinite’

She is also survived by: a host of aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of her family. Two very special family members, Angie Branch and Doris Allen. Two very special friends, Charlotte Womack and Lorri Ross. One Very special social group “The Golden Girls”
