Obituary For Milton Eldridge

Brother Milton Eldridge, Sr., son of the late Rolfe and Carrie
Jones Eldridge, was born on July 1, 1936. On March 17, 2024, the
Lord opened his Kingdom doors and called our loving father and our
cherished brother home. He was also preceded in death by his twin sister,
Marion Eldridge Williams, his brothers, Robert Winston Eldridge, and
Rolfe “Booster” Edward Eldridge, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife
Louise Eldridge, daughter, Kim S. Eldridge Glass (Jeffrey) of Farmville,
Virginia, and sons Milton Eldridge Jr.(Valerie) of Germantown,
Maryland, Edward W. Eldridge, Sr., and Shawn B. Eldridge of Farmville,
Virginia, two sisters, Rosa Elton Jones of Richmond, VA and Annie
Verdell Williams of Richmond, VA; eleven grandchildren, (Bryant
Jackson, Brittany Jackson, Glorianne Navarro, Gregory Eldridge,
Sonya Eldridge, Mennie C. Thompson, Milton C. Eldridge, Malahi B.
Eldridge, Sr., Erica Jefferson, Alexis Eldridge, Edward W. Eldridge, Jr);
twenty great-grandchildren (Nikya, Nadasia, Mosiah, Saige, Antonio,
Malahi Jr, Tomas, Charlie Milton, Naomi, Royal, Taylor, Faith, Aaliyah.
Semaj, Semariya, Travis, Jaquavier, Jaqavion, Beauty, Beau) and a host
of nieces and nephews who thought the world of Uncle Milton, other
relatives, and friends. God was always at the forefront of everything Milton embraced
in life. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal savior and
became a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. In later years, he joined
Holy Trinity Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member. Milton was a life-long resident of Dillwyn and a pillar of the
community he so dearly loved. He was always full of life and loved his
family dearly. Milton was a gifted conversationalist and known to engage
and update everyone on current events of the world. Milton worked for Kyanite for 40 years. He was famous for
driving the same type of Dump Truck for most of the 40 years. Milton
was known for his dedication, attention to detail, being punctual
with large deliveries, friendly demeanor, communication skills with
a quick wit, and driving all over the East Coast with a high-level of
professionalism.
