On August 16, 2026, Norman left his earthly vessel, gained his wings, and began his heavenly journey at home surrounded by family. Norman was born on March 16, 1960 Norman, Sr. and Sarah Jones Chambers.
Norman joined Mourner’s Valley Baptist Church at an early age. He was educated in the Buckingham Public School System. He was self-employed, and loved to
travel. He was also a sharp dresser.
Norman was preceded in death by: his parents, Sarah and Norman Chambers, Sr.; his brother Henry; and his sister Edith. His memories will continue with: his wife, Deborah; daughter, Latrice; four sisters, Mary Patterson and special friend of Dillwyn, VA, Viola Ayers of Florida, Oris Smith (Marvin ”Red”) and Aleen Zimmerman (Michael) both of Charlottesville, VA; one sister-in-law, Laura Brown of Dillwyn; two brothers-in-law, Matt Brown and Maynard Cain, Jr. of Dillwyn. He also leaves a parade of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends that will continue to share fond memories of him.

Norman, I'm truly grateful for the time we spent together these last three months. I wish we could have had more time, but I will always treasure the time we did have. You were funny, straightforward, hardworking, and you loved working for the paper. You always told it like it was, and you could always make us laugh. I'm thankful I got to spend those last three months with you, to talk with you, laugh with you, and make memories that I will carry with me forever. I'm going to miss you more than words can say. Until we meet again, Your niece, Theresa (Phecy) ❤️
