He was born October 24, 1959 to Annie Marie Coleman and the late Jimmy Jackson in Cumberland County, VA. He accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and joined Sharon Baptist Church in Cumberland. He received his education through Cumberland and Prince Edward County Public Schools.
