Roberta Spencer passed away peacefully the morning of Wednesday May 1st , 2024 at the Woodlands of Farmville, VA.

Roberta Wiley Spencer was born April 7th, 1936 in Buckingham, Va to Lillie and Paul Wiley. Roberta joined St. Joy Baptist Church at an early age. She received her education from Buckingham County Public Schools. She retired from ConAgra Frozen Foods. Roberta loved to play cards, cook, dance, shop, and wear nice clothes.

Roberta is proceeded in death by her husband John L. Spencer (Boots), Her parents Lillie and Paul Wiley, Her son Richard L. Spencer, her siblings Enda Lucas, Madeline Jones, Alice Jones, Maxine Glover, and Otis Wiley, Her grandsons Melvin (Nelius) Johnson and Thomas (Tom-Tom aka Tedo) Spencer, and great-grandson Darius L. Jones.

Roberta is survived by her children Thomas (Shorty) Spencer (Jean), Mitchell Spencer (Niecy), Doretha Boatwright (Ervin), Susan Glover (Tony), Daughter in Law Joyce Spencer. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
