Obituary For Roger Bernard Watson

Devoted brother & son

Roger Bernard Watson was born January 29,1962 to John P. Watson and Lillie M. Forbes. As a young child he had a thirst for learning. A bookworm by nature. He proved to be a fine scholar & teacher to his younger siblings and friends.

As Roger grew older so did his many talents. He was a great sketch artist, a musician, long distance runner, accomplished auto equipment mechanic, a very well organized person just to name a few.

Roger is a veteran of the USMC

I've always know my uncle to be a giant amongst us. A gentle giant, with the kindest heart. Give you the shirt off his back without question. Kept everyone around in good spirits, and could always make you laugh. He would keep a serious face right up to the last minute and bust out laughing. That was the thing about him, he had all the great qualities in a single being. Loved God. Loved life, loved his family.

John Watson, nephew

A man that lead with his actions but never gave you his word unless it aligned with what he spoke. The greatest of his family when it came to modesty and loving his family. Always there whenever they needed him the most…. A Watson legacy that was protected first by God. His siblings were second. He swore to protect his relatives and society because god gave him the strength of a lion and the height of a bear so no obstacle did he ever fear… Roger Bernard Watson was a true example of a leader, a king and a respectful male role model that made us better and his family stronger. I will forever lead by example and continue to be a warrior of God and the family like he showed and taught us. Now he sits on the throne with his brother and father beneath the almighty God. We love and thank you uncle. May you rise in paradise and rest in power. love always your nephew - Rico Watson

Roger leaves a brother, sister, four nephews, one grandnephew, and one grandniece. Roger much loved brother; and dutiful son will forever be missed.
