Obituary For Ronnie Franklin Woodson
In Loving Memory of Ronnie Franklin Woodson “Boo”
Ronnie Franklin Woodson, affectionately known as “Boo,” was born on October 17, 1971, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to the late William Alexander Woodson and Eleanor Swann Woodson. He departed this life peacefully on August 20, 2026, at The Woodlands in Farmville, Virginia.
Ronnie received his education through the Buckingham County Public School System. At an early age, he confessed Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Baptist Union Baptist Church.
Ronnie was well known throughout his community as a hard worker and a giving person. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Those who knew Ronnie will remember his warm spirit, his willingness to help others, and the love he showed to the people around him.
Ronnie had a joyful personality and loved to dance and sing. His laughter, personality, and the memories he created with those around him will forever be treasured by his family and friends.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children and grandchildren: Cassondra Husband (Laquane Copeland) and their children, A’merie, Zhiyan, and Cali, of Cumberland, Virginia; Ronnie Rose and his children, Cael, Jaivon, Amiracle, and Avaintae, of Dillwyn, Virginia; and Tiana Bolden-Thorpe and her son, Brandyn Thorpe, of Richmond, Virginia.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Barbara Woodson and Lisa Woodson-Austin, both of Dillwyn, Virginia; his brother, William Woodson (Tracy) of Rice, Virginia; his aunts, Corrine Burton of Charlottesville, Virginia, and Annie Woodson of Dillwyn, Virginia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Ronnie also leaves behind special friends, Linda Ford and Gregory Tennyson, who shared a meaningful bond with him throughout his life.
Though Ronnie has departed this earthly life, his work here is complete. The love he gave, the kindness he showed, the songs he sang, the dances he shared, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Rest peacefully, Ronnie “Boo.” Your earthly journey is over, but your memory will live on forever. You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
