Roselean Washington was born on July 20, 1936, to the late Alma Brown Saunders Stieff and Rowland Saunders. She peacefully departed this life on July 5, 2026, in Disputanta, Virginia.

At an early age, Roselean accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, was baptized, and joined Peaks Baptist Church in Prospect, Virginia.

Her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life.

She received her early education in the Prospect, Virginia, school system and graduated from Robert Russa Moton High School in Farmville, Virginia.

Roselean was united in marriage to Branche L. Washington, and together they shared 64 years of marriage, building a life rooted in faith, love, and family.

She was employed as a caregiver for a private family for more than 20 years. She later worked at a seamstress shop for approximately

10 years before retiring. Through her work, Roselean demonstrated compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for serving others.

Roselean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Branche L. Washington; her parents, Alma Brown Saunders Stieff and Rowland Saunders; her brother, Wilbert Saunders; and her sister, Hortense Saunders.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her three children: Adrienne Cutler (Ronnie Sr.), Terence Washington, and Melody Washington.

She also leaves five cherished grandchildren: ShaRhonda Cutler, Ronnie Cutler Jr., Rashard Cutler, Alexander Whittle, and Alonzo Washington.

She is also survived by her devoted cousin, Laneuville Walker; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and dear friends, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
