Obituary For Royal Eanes
Royal Eanes born the seventeenth of twenty-one children to Taylor and Gertude Richards Eanes on January 11, 1953 in Prince Edward County.
He dedicated Christ at an early age and joined Zion Hill Baptist Church, Farmville, Virginia. The church he helped build along with many others. Royal received his education at Prince Edward County Public School. After graduation he was employed by The Floor Shop and then the Carpet House as a Floor Mechanic for over 35 years until his health declined.
Royal was married to his high school sweetheart, the late Brenda Eanes for 46 years. He was a hard worker of many talents, gentle giant of few words, compassionate, humble, kind, loving and generous father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Royal was preceded in passing by his wife, parents, and several siblings. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, three children; Naomi Chartrice Evans, Elizabeth City, NC, LaRoya Walton (Allen), and Royal Eanes (Lanell) of Farmville, VA. Six grandchildren; Charquice, Charneice, SaRoya, Alani, Sanali, Aroya and his new found grand pup Bailey. Siblings; McCarthy Eanes (Lucy), Rev. Vincent Eanes (Sheila), Rev. Malvin Eanes Sr. (Shirley), Yvonne Howell (Harry), Sylvia Holman (Richard), and Carrie
Walker, Durham NC, an adopted brother John Ross (Lorraine). Several in-laws Rev. James Miller, Emma Eanes, Hazel Hill, Clarence Evans (Patsy), George Evans, and Ernest Evans (Andrea). Mary Eanes, Phyllicia Eanes, Minister Susan Eanes, Gwen
Shepard, Margaret Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Early Monday, April 8, 2024, Royal Eanes, departed this life at his residence surrounded by love and comfort joining his beloved wife with the heavenly Angels.
