Ruth Synthia Cosby was born August 7, 1932 in Cumberland County, Virginia to Etta Flippen Sprague. She entered eternal rest on May 13, 2020 at Farmville Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Farmville, Virginia. She was raised in Cumberland County and later moved to Newark, New Jersey where she joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and became a faithful member. When she moved back to Virginia, she joined Union Outreach Fellowship Church.
