In the evening hours of Friday March 17, 2023, God said “Well Done” and called home Sevester Wayed Wright, affectionately known to us all as “Vet”. Sevester was born on August 23, 1953 to the late Leslie Ford & Alice Wright. He was also raised by his step-father Percy Wright.

Sevester received his education through Prince Edward County local schools and also worked for many years as a Construction Supervisor.

Sevester was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Pro- spect, VA. He enjoyed being around family and friends, playing the

guitar, singing, dancing, and listening to good music. His favorite meal was fried chicken and homemade potato salad. He loved Rice Krispy Treats and could eat 20 or more per day. Sevester knew how to motivate a crowd with his smooth dance moves and kept everyone laughing.

Sevester was processed in death by his parents and some of his sib- lings.

He leaves to cherish his memories his children; Steve Marshall of Ap- pomattox, VA, Joseph Pollard and Toni Pollard of Lynchburg, VA,

Christina Talbert (Jermaine) of Richmond, VA; and Nathan Carring- ton (JaKeishia) of Prospect, VA; one brother, Ollie; four sisters, Dana,

Nellie, Carolyn and Lillie Mae; 26 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren; a devoted nephew James “Roosevelt”; devoted friend

Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sevester may have departed his earthly home but he will never be forgotten.
