Shirley Ann Barksdale was born on August 13, 1961, in Keysville, VA to the late Roosevelt and Grace Barksdale. Shirley attended Prince Edward County Public Schools and graduated in 1979. Over the years Shirley worked various jobs to include Prince Edward County Public School system as a teacher’s aide. She also worked with Medical Transportation for approximately 25 years being employed by George Saunders, Diane Barksdale and Cheryl’s Medical Transportation. Shirley was a very humble and quiet person; she loved people but enjoyed being in her own space. On Monday, April 3, 2023, Shirley departed this life at Farmville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Farmville, VA.
