Obituary For Shirley Ann Johnson Ragland

Shirley Ann Johnson Ragland was born on May 7, 1946 in Philadelphia Pa. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Baker, sister, Francine Delores Watkins, brother, Perney Preston Robinson Jr. , Aunt, Gertrude Victoria Walker. Shirley received her education in FarmVille Va, do to bussing issues she also went to school in Philadelphia, soon after she returned to FarmVille to receive her High school diploma some years later, She attended a skill center and got her CNA diploma, but Shirley wanted more, she also attended Rutledge College to study business management. She was a hard worker who held many management positions wherever she went, Shirley’s last job of 15 years which she loved and had compassion for, was at the Welcome Center in FarmVille Va, Where she was honored and received an Outstanding Achievement Award Of Dedication Service to the Community. In 2023 Shirley was even more determined and showed more of her Dedication,by Writing and Publishing her very own memoir titled, “At Age Eleven” , which will certainly become a family heirloom, with the help and support of her closest and dearest friend Magi Van Eps. Shirley leaves to cherish her precious memories to her 2 sons, Edwin Foster (Michelle), Shane Foster (Angela), 1 Daughter, Odetta Johnson Newby, 1 Aunt, Grace Davis, 3 Nieces, Tyra Robinson devoted caregiver, Shirley Hatcher, Altondra Hatcher, 1 devoted Nephew/Cousin Jamaal Harris, as well as (11) Grandchildren (20) great Grandchildren (2) great-great grandchildren, she also leaves a host of nieces,great nieces, great-great nieces and nephews, friends and Special Homemaker/Companion, Shantania Williams.
