Simon Bryant Jr.

Obituary For Simon Bryant Jr.
Our beloved Simon Bryant Jr. ("Si"), age 55, of Farmville, Virginia, answered the call to his heavenly crown in the afternoon hours of September 30, 2025.
Simon was born on March 9, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey, to Daisy Bryant and the late Simon Bryant Sr. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and later earned an associate's degree in Electronics Technology from Southern Junior College.
Simon's greatest passion was mentoring youth and helping them realize their potential. For more than a decade, he served as a mentor to at-risk youth, touching the lives of countless young people and their families. His humility, compassion, and steadfast belief in others allowed him to see greatness in every child-even when they could not see it themselves. Simon's unwavering encouragement, genuine heart, and quiet dedication became a beacon of hope for many, leaving behind a lasting legacy of empowerment and love.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Kimberly Bryant; his children, Madison Bryant, Ahniaelyah Spraggs, Jada Spraggs, Destiny Morton, and Tyrone Morton Jr.; one grandson, Fenix Lambert Jr.; his loving mother, Daisy Bryant of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers-in-law, Cordero Baker of Farmville, VA, and Michael Spraggs of Norfolk, VA; one sister-in-law, Corinthia Baker of Farmville, VA; a host of special cousins he regarded as brothers-Cedric Stringer, Reggie Jiles, Kevin Stringer, and Kenneth Goldsmith; special brothers-in-law, Daryl Jones, Brian Jones, and Jose Jones; and a circle of lifelong friends he cherished as brothers-Malcolm Tillerson, Kenneth Mullin, Marcus Catlett, Crawleigh Hall, William Long, Charles Saunders, and James Baker Sr. All of his aunts and uncles preceded him in death. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Simon was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose patience, strength, and wisdom left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He had a deep passion for sports and was a proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Florida State Seminoles. He found peace in fishing and joy in spending time with family and friends.
To know Simon was to love him-his steady spirit, gentle humor, and generous heart will be forever missed.
