Sunny William Braxton, affectionately known as Mickey, was born
on May 8, 1957 to the late Lula and Milton Braxton of Buckingham
County, Virginia. He was called to eternal rest on January 7, 2024 at
Centra-Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia. Sunny attended Buckingham County Public Schools. He attended
church from time to time. He enjoyed working outside and taking care of
family members (especially the children) and having fun with his family
and friends. Sunny will forever be cherished and remembered by: one sister,
Betty Braxton (Sammie Bolden) of Dillwyn, VA; three brothers, Clayton
Braxton of Dillwyn, VA, Ed Braxton ( Joyce) and Lawrence Braxton of
Farmville, VA; one aunt, Elizabeth Chambers of Arvonia, VA; six nieces,
Patricia (Willey), Brenda (Cameron), Tonya (Terrell) all of Dillwyn,
Connie ( Jermaine) of Hampden- Sydney, VA, Mattie of Farmville, VA,
and Lakeisha (Rico) of Richmond, VA; three nephews, Kenneth Braxton,

Sammie Braxton and James Braxton (Roxie) of Dillwyn; fourteen great-
nieces; eight great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He also enjoyed joking with his devoted friends, Curtis Foster, Clifton
Brown and Jermaine Ross. He loved all of his nieces and nephews but
had a special relationship with Wy’Lick.
